Some visitors to the United Arab Emirates require a tourist visa. Often, these need to be arranged prior to arrival. Certain nationalities do not require visas at all, namely: GCC Nationals (Gulf Cooperation Council: Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman and Saudi Arabia).
For citizens of most European and North American countries, visas are issued upon arrival in the United Arab Emirates.
